| What
is a business change project? A project is a one-off set of activities to achieve a specific objective for your organisation or business. A project has a clear delivery date, and its own separately identifiable budget Many projects have a business objective (the 'business' being the overall purpose of your organisation) and IT is just a tool. Critical to success are non-IT aspects such as training, working procedures, data setup and launch of the new product or service etc. Achieving these involves changing people's attitudes, responsibilities and performance. We recognise that non-technical elements are as important, and as complex, as the technology and provide an integrated approach to managing the whole business change projects. close |

Getting a project off on the right foot is vital. This means setting clear objectives and responsibilities, having achievable targets and supporting these with realistic plans.Detailed budgets will be needed early on, if not at the very start and many organisations will require a business case, if the project is to go ahead. Scoping and planning the project as a whole can be difficult, particularly if you are juggling this with day-to-day management responsibilities. Unfortunately, this can lead to 'creeping projects' which never really get finished, perhaps because they didn't get off to a good start.
As a result, these projects have moved quickly through initial approval and funding and on to the next stage of work.
